Christ Raises the Widow’s Son – Holy Fifty – First Week – Day 4

Today’s Gospel: Luke 7:11–17

Key Verse: “Do not weep.” (Luke 7:13, NKJV)

Meditation

Christ approaches every broken heart—not with distant comfort, but with a resurrection touch. His love moves Him to meet us at the gate of our sorrow, to stop the funeral procession of despair. Do not weep… for He draws near.

Early Church Fathers’ Saying

“The holy body of Christ is productive for the salvation of man… The flesh of Christ also has the power of giving life and annihilates the influence of death and corruption because it is the flesh of the Word, who gives life to all.”
— St. Cyril of Alexandria

Practical Practice

Call, text or visit someone today who is mourning, discouraged, or weary—and simply say: “Do not weep. Christ is near.” Sometimes, that’s the only seed they need to rise again.
