Correcting in Love – Apostles’ Fast – Day 15

Reading: Acts 18:24-28 & 19:1-6

Focus Verse: “So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.” – Acts 18:26 (NKJV)

Meditation

Love does not remain silent when truth is incomplete. Aquila and Priscilla corrected Apollos—not to shame him, but to save him.

Early Church Fathers’ Saying

“He was fervent, then, in the Spirit, knowing only the baptism of John: but these expounded to him more perfectly… and it is likely that he did in fact receive baptism.”
— St. John Chrysostom, Homilies on Acts 18

Practical Practice

If someone you know is speaking or believing in error—even with good intentions—gently take them aside. Speak with clarity, humility, and care, like Aquila and Priscilla. It may be the moment God uses for their salvation and fullness in the Holy Spirit.
