As Christ lifts His eyes to heaven before His Passion, He opens for us a path of surrender. When we confess our sins and receive Him in the Eucharist, we too are lifted—out of guilt, out of fear—into His peace.

Practical Practice

Before Confession, lift up your eyes and pray:

“Lord, I lift my heart to You. Cleanse me, and glorify Christ in me.”

Let your repentance be a step through heaven’s gate—not a weight on your back.
