Rivers of Living Water – Holy Fifty Days – Week 7, Day 5
Today’s Gospel: John 15:17–25
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.” (John 7:37, NKJV)
Meditation
When our soul feels empty, it’s really thirsty for God. If we come to Jesus with that thirst, He doesn’t just satisfy us—He fills us and transforms us into fountains through which His love flows to others.
Early Church Fathers’ Saying
“If “He invites not by force, but by desire. If anyone thirsts, let him come.”
—St. John Chrysostom
Practical Practice
When you approach Holy Communion, come with deep thirst—because “the Eucharist is not just a piece of bread or a sip of wine; it is the fountain of life. In it, Christ fills every thirsting heart” –Fr. Andrew Awad
