The Martyr’s Fullness – Apostles’ Fast – Day 3
Reading: Acts 7:44–60; 8:1
Focus Verse: “But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.” (Acts 7:55, NKJV)
Meditation
To be full of the Holy Spirit is to see Christ clearly, love sacrificially, and forgive radically—even in the face of death.
Early Church Fathers’ Saying
“Stephen…did not ask for vengeance, but for pardon for his murderers.”
— Cyprian of Carthage
Practical Practice
Before responding to a difficult person or situation today, pause and silently say: “Holy Spirit, fill me.” Like Stephen, let your first response come from above, not within.
