The Struggle of Doubt– Holy Fifty – First Week – Day 7

Today’s Gospel: John 20:19–31 (NKJV)

Key Verse: “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28)

Meditation

Eight days after the Resurrection, behind locked doors, Christ came—again—not to condemn Thomas’s doubt, but to meet him there. Let your doubt become your declaration. Let your weakness become your worship.

Early Church Fathers’ Saying

“He [Thomas] became firmer after his doubts, and more believing than the rest, being the first to proclaim the Lordship and Divinity of Christ with such boldness: ‘My Lord and my God.’

— St. John Chrysostom

Practical Practice

Today, whisper “My Lord and my God” when you feel unsure. Let doubt be a doorway to deeper faith. Like Thomas, Christ invites you not to hide your struggle, but to bring it to Him—and find Him there.
